The Mobile Regional Senior Community Center is a vibrant hub dedicated to enriching the lives of Mobile's seasoned residents, aged 55 and up. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a testament to the city's commitment to its senior population, providing a welcoming place for social, physical, and educational enrichment. With a mission to support active, engaged, and independent lifestyles, the center is more than just a building; it's a community.
From fitness classes and creative arts to daily fellowship, the center, along with other city-managed senior centers like Parkway and Tricksey, offers a diverse array of programs designed to meet the needs of thousands of members. It stands as a beacon of pride and a vital resource for ensuring a high quality of life for seniors across the region.

Health and Fitness
The center boasts a modern fitness room, a thermal plunge pool for aquatic exercise, and a variety of fitness classes designed to help seniors stay active and healthy.
Recreation and Social Activities
Members can enjoy a wide range of activities, including games like Bingo and billiards, dance classes, and art programs. For many of its 5,000 active members, the center is a cherished "home away from home" where they can meet and make new friends.
Educational and Enrichment Programs
The center provides opportunities for lifelong learning through offerings like computer classes and writing workshops.
Nutritional Support
n partnership with the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission (SARPC), the city offers the Alabama Elderly Nutrition Program at several sites. This program provides daily hot meals, combined with social activities and fellowship, to seniors who apply.

Protect and Enhance Senior Services
I will work to secure funding to maintain and expand the high-quality programs at the Connie Hudson Center and other city senior facilities.
Improve Accessibility and Transportation
I will advocate for improved transportation options to ensure all seniors, regardless of mobility, can access our senior centers and their vital programs.
Support Nutritional Programs
I will be a strong partner in supporting the Elderly Nutrition Program to combat food insecurity and isolation among our seniors.
Listen to Our Seniors
I will establish regular meetings with senior community members to listen to their needs and ensure their voices are heard and reflected in city policy.
